Indymedia "Linksunten" archive goes online while German court rejects appeal

More than two years ago, in August 2017, German ministry of the interior prohibited the continued operation of the "linksunten.indymedia" news platform, in a legal stunt bypassing the country's juridical system. While also raiding and charging alleged operators of this open posting media outlet, the governments' executive branch banned any continued operation of this open posting website, which, until then, had worked as a major news hub by and for the German Left and extra-parliamentary opposition. While the countries' high administrative court has just ruled to drop appeals filed against the ban, citing formalities, Tachanka! continues to condemn the excessive action against the former "Linksunten" project.

At the same time, we support the newly formed collective which recently brought the sites' archives back online at
linksunten.tachanka.org and
linksunten.archive.indymedia.org.
