= Indymedia "Linksunten" archive goes online while German court rejects appeal =

In August 2017, the German Ministry of the Interior [https://tachanka.org/wiki/PublicLinksuntenBanned prohibited the operation of the "linksunten.indymedia" news platform] in a legal stunt that bypassed the country's judicial system. This open-posting website had, until then, served as a major news hub by and for the German Left and extra-parliamentary opposition; alleged operators of this media outlet were also raided by the police and subsequently charged.
In January 2020, the German high administrative court has ruled that [https://enoughisenough14.org/2020/01/30/linksunten-indymedia-remains-banned/ appeals filed against the ban must be dropped].
